The Sun is located around 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) from Earth. The 4.5 billion-year-old star's gravity is so powerful that it keeps everything in our solar system orbiting around it, including eight planets, at least five dwarf planets, tens of thousands of asteroids, and what scientists believe to be around three trillion comets and icy bodies.
